The four above entitled causes were heard in this court upon one bill of exceptions. On the 16th day of February, A. D. 1884, in vacation, the defendants in error severally filed declarations, powers of attorney, affidavits and cognovits with the clerk of the circuit court for the purpose of having him enter up judgments by confession in their favor and against John Irwin. Immediately upon filing the same, the clerk proceeded to issue executions for the several amounts confessed by the cognovits, and costs.
