This matter comes before the court on an objection to exemptions filed by Thomas C. Richardson, the Chapter 7 trustee (the “Trustee”) for the estate of Douglas Hill (the “Debtor”) and Sandra Hill. In his objection, the Trustee asserts that the Debtor has improperly claimed an exemption in the proceeds of a preferential transfer because,the transfer at issue was voluntary under section 522(g) of the Bankruptcy Code.
