This action, tried before the court without a jury, is brought for the foreclosure of certain mechanic’s liens filed against moneys due on a contract for a public improvement, consisting of the furnishing and equipment of the record and document rooms of the Assembly Chamber in the Capitol.
The trustees of public buildings of the state of New York, acting for the state, entered into a contract with *637the Keepsdry Construction Company for the sum of $13,800.
The work has been completed and accepted and the state architect has filed with the comptroller of the state a certificate of completion,…
