HAYS, Justice.

This is an appeal from a judgment and conviction of exhibiting a deadly weapon other than in self-defense in violation of A.R.S. § 13-916. We have jurisdiction pursuant to 17A A.R.S. Rules of the Supreme Court, rule 47(e)(5). We affirm.

The case stems from a shooting incident in the early morning hours of October 28, 1977. A large party was being held in Yuma at the home of Alan Thieme, a police officer with the Yuma Police Department. Many but not all of the guests were also members of the Yuma Police Department.
