Appellants are the owners of two lots facing south on West Second Street, between Summit and Schiller avenues, in the city of Little Rock. They have owned these lots for many years, and there are three dwelling houses on them, built about the year 1900. At that time the street in front of these lots had never been graded or otherwise improved. There was a downward slope from the south front of these lots to the opposite side of the street, and there was no sidewalk, but there was a pathway along in front of the houses, which was used by any one who had occasion to do so.
