|, Defendant appeals his conviction by an Orleans Parish jury of possession of cocaine. For the reasons that follow, we affirm the conviction and sentence.
PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND
By bill of information dated June 27, 2006, defendant, Willie Carter, was charged with possession of cocaine, a violation of La.R.S. 40:967(C). Defendant’s motion to suppress evidence was denied by the trial court. Defendant proceeded to a jury trial and was found guilty as charged.
