Shirley Yvonne Miller appeals her conviction of eight counts of first degree theft and one count of forgery, challenging the trial court’s decisions relating to a civil contempt order and claiming that she was denied a speedy trial. Prior to trial, Miller was incarcerated for 14 months under an order of civil contempt for her failure to provide a handwriting exemplar to the prosecution. During this incarceration, the trial court tolled Miller’s CrR 3.3 speedy trial rights.
