The United States Supreme Court vacated the judgment in this case and remanded it to this Court for further consideration in light of Whren v. United States, 517 U.S.-, 116 S.Ct. 1769, 135 L.Ed.2d 89 (1996). Upon reconsideration, the majority reasons that our analysis in Dennis v. State, 342 Md. 196, 674 A.2d 928 (1996) (Dennis I), is “perfectly consistent with the Whren analysis.” Maj. op. at 1152.
