This action was brought by the State for the use of the widow and children of James Stansbury to recover damages for his death alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the Commissioners of Anne Arundel County. On September 28th, 1906, the deceased was driving in a buggy drawn by a single horse, from the city of Annapolis to his home in the country, and between seven and eight o’clock in the evening he drove upon the Severn river bridge connecting the two shores of that river and forming a part of one of the highways of Anne Arundel County.
