The State charged Martin Suarez Juarez with assault family violence against Juana Morcia, the mother of his child. 1 See Tex. Penal Code Ann. § 22.01(b)(2)(B) (West Supp.2014). The jury found Juarez guilty and sentenced him to eight years’ imprisonment.
