An action was commenced in admiralty by the United States of America against the German motor vessel Wuerttemberg for damages done to the Swerve, a Navy minesweeper, in a collision between the German motor vessel Wuerttemberg and the United States minesweeper the Swerve, on the early morning of June 25, 1958, in the entrance to the harbor of Charleston, South Carolina. A cross-libel was filed by the German owners of the Wuerttemberg against the United States for damages suffered by the Wuerttemberg in the collision. Captain Alexander H.
