If ever an enterprise chartered as an alleged savings and loan association deserved the appointment of a conservator to preserve the integrity of the financial community, this is it.
Alliance Federal Savings and Loan Association (Alliance) was granted its charter as a federal mutual savings and loan association on July 14, 1980. On April 8, 1981, Alliance became a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB or Bank Board) system and was protected under that system’s insurance provisions.
