This dispute arose from the drilling of two water wells. J & J Drilling, Inc., sued Steven Miller in District Court for breach of contract, claiming damages of $4,719.25. Mr. Miller counterclaimed. The court entered judgment for J & J Drilling. Mr. Miller appealed to the Superior Court, which reversed for lack of subject matter jurisdiction because the counterclaim requested damages in excess of $25,000, the District Court jurisdictional limit. We reverse the Superior Court.
