This is an appeal by the defendants, two in number, from a judgment, based upon a verdict, entered against them in an action of conversion. The verdict found that the plaintiff’s damages were $1171, compensatory damages, and $1300, punitive damages. The attached judgment is in the aggregate of these two sums, $2471. The items of property, which the complaint avers the defendants took, were parts of a small sawmill.
