In this nonjury trial, plaintiff seeks damages for the consequences of an alleged false arrest and imprisonment he claims were initiated by the Board of Education of the City of New York.

FINDINGS OF FACT — PLAINTIFF’S VERSION

On May 16,1980, plaintiff, then a 17-year-old student at Bay side High School, decided to cut classes for the rest of his school day at 11:00 a.m., and left his school without permission.
