I. The Catholic Mutual Benefit Association is a benevolent society, consisting’ of a supreme council, grand councils, and' branches. The supreme council is the general governing body, The grand council consists of a governing body within a limited territorial jurisdiction, as a state, and has control of all branches within its jurisdiction.
