Thirteen-year-old Miguel Andrade died from gunshot wounds suffered as he opened the door of his family’s home. The State charged four men with crimes related to Miguel’s death. One of those men, Eli A. Betancourt, brings this appeal after a jury convicted him of premeditated first-degree murder and criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied building.
