This case, which involves the redemption of certain real property, has previously been before this Court. See Southeast Enters., Inc. v. Byrd,720 So.2d 873 (Ala. 1998).
These appeals are by Jerry H. Byrd and Sharon B. Byrd. In 1994, the Byrds purchased real property at a foreclosure sale. In 1995, Southeast Enterprises, Inc. ("SEI"), a junior mortgagee, sought to exercise its statutory right to redeem the property. (That led to case no. CV-95-92 in the Coffee Circuit Court.)
