This action is brought to enforce the liability of defendants as stockholders of Glenoaks, Inc., for a contractual debt of that corporation to plaintiff’s assignor, the amount of the liability asserted against each defendant being less than $2,000. At the trial the defendants objected to the jurisdiction of the court on the ground that plaintiff’s cause of action arose in the city of Glendale. The trial court concluded that the cause of action did so arise and that therefore the Municipal Court of the City of Los Angeles had no jurisdiction, and gave judgment dismissing the action, from which…
