1Opinion of the Court

Lansberry, P. J.,

In this action in trespass proposed additional defendant challenges the jurisdiction of the court because of want of service of process upon him as provided by Pa. R. C. P. 2254(6). The rule as now in effect provides as follows:

“(b) The writ, with a copy of the complaint of the defendant or the additional defendant and copies of all pleadings theretofore filed in the action, shall be served by the sheriff in the same manner as a writ of summons within thirty (SO) days after issuance of the writ, unless the time is extended by the court upon cause shown” (Italics supplied.)
