Hodges sued the Savannah Electric Company for damages arising from personal injuries. It appears that he was a conductor upon the Montgomery and Best street line of the defendant company. At the time of the injury his car was standing at the terminus of the line and within ten feet of a repair or “wire” ear, which was waiting to follow the passenger-car into the city. He got off of his car to change the trolley, in order to make ready for the return journey. He thus came between the two cars.
