Mr. JUSTICE JONES delivered tire opinion of the court:

Defendant was indicted by a grand jury of Sangamon County for the crimes of unlawful sale of heroin, unlawful possession of cocaine; unlawful possession of heroin and unlawful possession of a hypodermic needle. The charge of possession of cocaine was dismissed on motion of the State. On motion of the defendant for a change of venue because of pretrial publicity the case was moved to Madison County for trial. Following the trial a jury returned a verdict of not guilty of the sale of heroin but guilty of unlawful possession of heroin and…
