OPINION
HUSPENI, Judge.
Appellant Kelly Busch was injured in an accident in Wisconsin involving telephone cable markers of respondent Badger Telephone Co., Inc. (Badger), a subsidiary of Universal Telephone Co., Inc. (Universal), both foreign corporations. The trial court dismissed the action based on a lack of personal jurisdiction. Busch acknowledges that neither corporation was transacting business in Minnesota at the time of the accident but argues that, as the result of a subsequent merger with a corporation doing business in this state, respondents were transacting business in this state…
