On May 7, 1996, Alma Champion (appellant/former wife) and Jimmy Wayne McDaniel (appellee/former husband) were divorced. The final judgment of dissolution of marriage incorporated a marital settlement and parenting agreement, which appellee signed on March 11, 1996.
