MEMORANDUM AND ORDER RE DESEGREGATION REMEDY

PECKHAM, Chief Judge.

This case proceeds upon a finding by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that the San Jose Unified School District (“District”) engaged in de jure segregation of its schools in violation of the Fourteenth Amendment. Diaz v. San Jose Unified School District, 733 F.2d 660 (9th Cir. 1984), cert. denied, — U.S. —, 105 S.Ct. 2140, 85 L.Ed.2d 497 (1985). This order addresses the measures that the Board of Education of the District must adopt to remedy this constitutional violation.
