This is an action for the collection of delinquent taxes for the year 1871.
By the Act of the 18th of March, 1868, to provide for the government of the County of San Diego, the Board of Supervisors was required on the first Monday of April in each year to levy an annual tax of two dollars on every one hundred dollars valuation of real and personal property within the county, “which shall be collected in the manner prescribed by law, and when paid into the County Treasury shall be distributed as follows: * * * Seventeen and one half per cent into an Interest Tax Fund to…
