Plaintiff-Appellant Sarah Melson brought this action against Defendant-Ap-pellee Prime Insurance Syndicate, Inc. (“Prime”), alleging that Prime’s decision not to pay her insurance policy’s face value for a loss caused by fire damage to Mel-son’s commercial property violated both Michigan state law and the terms of the insurance policy.
