OPINION

STATON, Judge.

Gloria Ann Morton-Finney ("Morton-Fin-ney") appeals the trial court's dismissal of her complaint against Indianapolis Public Schools' Superintendent Shirl E. Gilbert ("Gilbert"). Morton-Finney presents one issue for appellate review, which we separate into two and restate as follows:

I. Whether the trial court erred in denying Morton-Finney's motion for default judgment.

II. Whether the trial court erred in granting Gilbert's motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim.

We affirm.
