On June 30, 1956, a collision occurred between a motorcycle owned and driven by the plaintiff and an automobile owned and operated by the defendant. The accident happened on U. S. Highway No. 52 about 13 miles northwest of Dubuque, at approximately 6:15 p.m. The vehicles were going in opposite directions, and the cause of the collision is in dispute. It is evident' at least one of them must have failed to yield one half of the paved highway. The visibility was good and no other traffic was involved.
