OPINION

DIES, Chief Justice.

Appellant was convicted by a jury of burglary of a habitation and a repeated offense, and the same jury assessed punishment at thirty (30) years in the Texas Department of Corrections. Appellant has perfected an appeal to this court.

Ground of Error No. One follows: “The trial court erred in denying the motion for continuance of appellant’s counsel.” Appellant filed a written motion for continuance on the basis his mother was scheduled to enter a hospital at or near the time of the trial.
