These six appeals involve, the validity of an order of the Interstate Commerce Commission permitting the merger of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company and the *375New York Central Railroad Company (Penii-Central) pursuant to § 5 (2) of the Interstate Commerce Act, as amended, 41 Stat. 481, 49 U. S. C. § 5 (2).
