On February 26, 1991, appellant was convicted in municipal court of a misdemeanor. On March 25, 1991, he filed a motion in circuit court and asked to prosecute a limited appeal to that court as a pauper. On May 10, 1991, the circuit court denied the motion. On May 30, 1991, more than ninety days after the date of conviction, appellant filed in circuit court his notice of appeal, along with the municipal court record.
