This was a bill in equity for the cancellation of a deed on the ground of fraud. The bill sets forth, in substance, that the complainant is a resident of Roseas, Azores Islands, and that the defendant is a resident of the State of California,; that on or about the 9th day of August, 1901, the defendant caused to be recorded in the office of the registrar of conveyances in the City and County of Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, a deed whereby the complainant purported to convey to the defendant certain lands owned by the complainant situated in this…
