The defendant was charged with two counts of manslaughter in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-55 (a),1 two counts of assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59 (a) (3)2 and two counts of risk of injury to a child in violation of General Statutes § 53-21.3 She appeals from a judgment of conviction of two of these counts, assault in the first degree and risk of injury to a child.
