This case arises on an appeal from the judgment of a justice of the peace. The transcript shows that the plaintiff claimed damages for the breach of a written agreement, by which the plaintiff was employed to work on the farm of the defendant; that at the hearing, at which the defendant did not appear, plaintiff claimed damages in the sum of $299, and judgment was rendered for the sum of $299. The defendant thereupon took an appeal. The plaintiff then filed in this court a statement of his claim, which consisted of the loss of wages, amounting to $134, the loss of an interest *700of…
