We have considered this matter en banc for the dual purposes of (1) avoiding intracourt conflict with prior opinions of this court, and (2) establishing the policy of this court as a matter of "exceptional importance"[1] in regard to the utilization of percentage guidelines in the review of monetary awards in domestic cases.
