This is a private child custody matter involving an enrolled Navajo child who has a Navajo father (Dennison) and non-Navajo mother (Nouri). The parties and child lived together in Fort Defiance on the Navajo Nation from the child’s birth on May 24, 2011 until Nouri moved with the child to Gallup, New Mexico near the Navajo Nation, in March, 2012 at the earliest2.
