Albert Tranquillo III, a/k/a “Allie Boy,” has been charged in a Superseding Indictment with mail fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1341, conspiracy to commit mail fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1349, and bribery, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2, 666(a)(2). Mr. Tranquillo is alleged to have engaged in a scheme to defraud the City of Mount Vernon (“Mount Vernon”) by overbilling it pursuant to carting contracts in effect between A & D Carting and Trancamp, two entities with which the Government alleges that Mr. Tranquillo was…
