In a proceeding pursuant to CPLR article 78, inter alia, to compel the respondents to appoint the petitioner Lorraine Fishman to the classified civil service position of senior stenographer, the appeal is from an order of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (Underwood, J.), dated September 7, 1994, which granted the respondents’ motion to dismiss the petition on the ground that it was time-barred.

Ordered that the order is affirmed, with costs.
