On and prior to August 15, 1922, appellee was engaged in the business of transporting merchandise by autotruck for hire. At about 4:30 in the afternoon of said day, appellee was transporting a truck.load of groceries through the City of Mounds, and while crossing one of the bridges of said city, a sill and certain of the floor timbers in said bridge broke, causing appellee’s truck to fall, thereby damaging said truck and groceries.
