In February, 1929, the city of Stamford instituted proceedings to establish a new building line on the east side of Bedford Street in that city in front of property acquired by the defendant Rogers pending those proceedings. The plaintiff Palo owns a first mortgage of $37,000 upon the property, the plaintiff Gruber a second mortgage of $17,000, and the plaintiffs Nanos a third mortgage of $7875.
