Saralta Schmidt (who will be referred to as complainant) filed her bill in the circuit court of Cook county against defendants, John F. Barr and Malcolm E. Barr, his son, (who will be referred to as defendants,) for the specific performance of a contract for the sale of real estate. There was a hearing before the chancellor, covering a period of about sixteen months, and a decree was entered as prayed. Defendants prosecuted an appeal to the Appellate Court for the First District, where the decree was reversed and the cause remanded, with directions to dismiss the bill for want of equity.…
