STATEMENT OF THE CASE

Jeffrey Reel appeals from his conviction of Burglary, a Class C felony 2 We reverse and remand for a new trial.

ISSUE

On appeal, we consider Reel's argument that the court erred in proceeding to trial when he was not present.

FACTS

On June 24, 1986, Reel and John Borson were charged with the burglary of the Halteman Village pool concession stand. On December 10, 1986, Borson pleaded guilty pursuant to a plea agreement.
