This is an action brought in the district court of Payne county by O. D. Dixon against the Tulsa Tribune Company, a domestic corporation, to recover damages because of an alleged libelous article published by defendant on October 3, 1929.

Defendant is engaged in publishing a newspaper in the city of Tulsa, Tulsa county, Okla. The edition containing the alleged libelous article was circulated in Payne county, where the action was brought Trial was to a jury, and resulted in a verdict and judgment in favor of plaintiff for the sum of $3,150.
