1Opinion of the Court

POPE, Circuit Judge.

Appellant, a citizen of Georgia, brought this action against Southern Railway Company, a corporation of the State of Virginia,1 seeking recovery of damages for personal injuries in an amount substantially in excess of $100,-000. The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff in the sum of $2500. The principal contention upon this appeal by the plaintiff is that the trial court committed reversible error in giving to the jury an instruction on comparative negligence *534and that the smallness of the verdict is attributable to that error.
