This is an appeal from an order of the circuit court of Arenac county, overruling the objections of appellants to a petition of the auditor general of the State of Michigan for the sale of de linquent tax lands located on Big or North Charity island in Saginaw bay. The appellant, R. L. Gillingham Pishing Company, purchased the island from the United States in 1926. The appellant, township of Whitney, intervened in the proceeding, claiming that the island is included within its territorial limits and subject to its taxes as opposed to the claims of Sims and Au Gres townships.
