Arnold Price sued Meadowcraft Industries, Inc., in the Jefferson Circuit Court, alleging that Meadowcraft was negligent in failing to provide him a safe workplace. A jury returned a verdict in favor of Price, awarding him $60,000, and the trial court entered a judgment on that verdict. Meadowcraft appealed, and the Court of Civil Appeals affirmed the judgment.
