The defendant, Harry Martin Brockman, appeals his Jefferson County District Court conviction and sentencing on two counts of aggravated robbery under section 18-4-302, 8 C.R.S. (1978), and two counts of violent crime under sections 16-11-309 and 18-1-105(9), 8 C.R.S. (1984 Supp.). The defendant maintains that his conviction must be vacated because of the court’s refusal to permit him to present surrebut-tal evidence intended to rehabilitate his chief alibi witness, whose credibility had been impeached by the People’s rebuttal evidence.
