Defendant appeals as of right his bench trial conviction of prison escape, MCL 750.193; MSA 28.390. The trial court sentenced defendant as an habitual offender, second offense, MCL 769.10, MSA 28.1082, to one to 7V2 years’ imprisonment. We affirm.

Defendant was convicted of larceny in a building, MCL 750.360; MSA 28.592, and sentenced to a term of one to four years’ imprisonment. Defendant began serving his sentence in the state penitentiary at Jack son, but was transferred to the Monroe Corrections Center in July 1994.
