In Sterilite Corp. v. Continental Cas. Co., 17 Mass. App. Ct. 316 (1983), we affirmed, with a modification not here relevant, a judgment of the Superior Court declaring that the defendant was in breach of its duty to the plaintiff under an insurance policy to defend an action brought against the plaintiff, and that the defendant was liable to the plaintiff in the amount of $108,370.76 for counsel fees and related expenses incurred in the defense of that action. This appeal by the defendant comes to us from the subsequent entry of a judgment which ordered the payment of interest on the damages…
